MWD started out as a joke during my short stay on the Computer Vine (may it rest in peace). It was just the diagnostic criteria at that point, in much the same form they're in now. A year or so later, I decided to expand upon the idea and create a clique. I knew there were many people out there with the same habits as I who would think it was pretty humorous. However, my updating habits were less than spectacular, and due to several stretches of netlessness, many members and potential members were neglected. A combination of Multiple Webpage Disorder and Real Life Syndrome interfered with my ability to keep up this site. As of Feb. 26, 2002, I've decided to close the clique and instead expand upon the joke as I feel inspired. No one will feel ignored, I won't have to check countless others' pages for the code, enforce rules, or feel to be under any pressure. Unfortunately I won't be able to write to everyone who recently asked to join or who were already members due to a computer problem in which I lost most of the e-mail addresses. I hope you can forgive me for any problems this causes. Keep your eyes peeled to the MWD page for future additions, like survivor's stories, healing art and poetry, and lists of alternatives to updating webpages. Thanks for understanding. |
